Dear Colleagues,

we are happy to announce that Professor Alberto Viskovic will visit our University within the framework of Erasmus+ framework for the whole next week 15-19 of June 2026!

On Tuesday 16th of June, starting 11:30 in the morning, the lecture will cover:

"Analysis of historical structures (Part 1), the strategy for the knowledge of the present state
and relative case studies (Pantheon, S.Pietro, Haghia Sophia, Haghia Irene, …)"
"Analysis of historical structures (Part 2), Seismic damages general introduction, case studies (Assisi, Colosseo, Palazzo Rosati, …)"

On Friday 19th of June, starting 16:30 in the evening, the lecture will cover:

"Intervention strategies for seismic retrofitting on historical structures (Part 1) and relative case studies (Assisi, Palazzo Rosati, Mercati di Traiano, Haghia Irene, …)".
"Intervention strategies (Part 2): Eco sustainable strategies for seismic retrofitting and/or reuse, with use of timber, pozzolanic mortars, steel, relative case studies (Palazzo Rosati, Caporciano, Colosseo)"

Place: Amfitheatre 4, Civil Engineering Department, Kimmeria Campus, Xanthi, Greece. Physical attendance is important for direct and fruitful interaction with Professor Alberto Viskovic during his extremely significant and interesting lectures.
